BODY AWARENESS.

Body awareness is the awareness of the position and movement of body parts in relation to muscles and joints. In layman’s terms it is how we know and recognize where our bodies are in space. In terms of mobility, it is the understanding of our posture, movements and breath. Bodies by Brock will teach you how to safely move and become more and more aware of how safe movement feels in your body. We will pay attention to safe posture in exercise and daily life, decreasing the aches and pains of daily life. As we exercise we will focus on breathing to help you feel in control of your movement. The body is a well oiled machine and when these three aspects are in line, the body can work with efficiency.

FLEXIBILITY AND BALANCE.

Exercises to increase flexibility and balance are a key component of any well rounded fitness plan. Flexibility leads to an overall ease of movement, decreases stress on joints, reduces risk of exercise induced injury and can prevent falls. Flexibility also increases muscle blood flow enabling your muscles to work more effectively and repair themselves quickly. Stretching is a key component of a well rounded flexibility program.
